Glen Wiebe Webpage Review
Glen Wiebe, a self described "social studies nerd" is a consultant at a educational service center based in Hutchinson Kansas. Glen loves social studies, and decided he wanted to create a webpage as a chance to "rattle on about social studies and technology."
What interested me the most about Glen's website historytech is that it is more set up as a blogging post than an actual "official" website. I really like this style. By having this blogging style, it promotes more of an open discussion, where people can comment add additional information to the topic. Glen's posts are all related to history in the classroom, particularly tools and links on how social studies teachers can make their classroom more fun and engaging. This really caught my attention because I am majoring in Social Studies and loves to learn more about history. As a future history teacher, this website is a great tool into refining not only my knowledge on subjects, but also learning how to incorporate great lesson plans into my future classroom.

The coolest thing I found on Glen's website is a link to an additional website by him called socialstudiescentral.com. This website was a link extending from Glens original website that dove in deeper for teachers looking for "tools, strategies, and instruction to engage kids to higher ed learning." This additional website was so cool to me because there was so many different links from there that can really be a beneficial resource later in my educational career. Glen had links to podcasts and teaching videos of cool ideas.
After reviewing this website, it makes me wonder how many other great websites there are out there that can be used as tools for current and upcoming teachers. This website is a great example of a blog that teachers can go to to bounce ideas off of each other. This in the end will create more and better teachers for the future!
