ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Scott Frantz and I am currently a Junior at Kansas State University. I am majoring in Secondary Education with a emphasis in Social Studies. I decided to pursue a career in Education because both of my parents are teachers. I was born and raised in Lawrence Kansas and grew up in a great family and absolutely loved my childhood. I loved how I was always on the same 8am-3pm schedule like my parents. I also loved how I was able to spend all of my summers with them. Seeing how happy my parents were and how happy I was, it inspired me to become a teacher so that someday I could share special memories with my kids like how they did with me. Another person that inspired me to become a teacher was a man called Mr. Barah (featured in the middle in the top picture). Mr. Barah and I developed a very close friendship my senior year at Lawrence Free State High School. Mr. Barah was always there for me and had such a positive impact on my life. I looked up to him and valued his friendship so much that it made me want to be a teacher like him so that somedayt I too can positively impact peoples lives.
I am the youngest of 3 boys, my two older brothers being Matt Frantz and Brett Frantz. Matt is the oldest, and just finished up his masters degree in Business while playing football at Fort Hays University, while Brett is currently playing basketball at Youngstown State and majoring in Accounting. I, like both of my brothers, love athletics. I followed more so in the footsteps of my oldest brother Matt and learned to love football. I am the starting left tackle at Kansas State University and have 3 more seasons left. Football is a huge part of who I am. Not only does football give me a chance to receive a free education, but football is also the reason why I have such the great friends I have today. Almost all of my relationships and great memories come from the game of football.
Outside of football, my hobbies include reading, hunting, fishing, and hanging out with my friends. I especially love to read. I try to read a book a week. I love to read about politics, history, and human development. Politics is something that especially interests me and has become a huge hobby of mine. I love to read and watch anything related to politics. I aspire to run for state senate some day. I think my interest in politics is directly related to my interest in becoming a teacher; I find it fulfilling to be around and to help people.
This is about all there is too me! I try to be a very transparent, honest person who lays it all out there. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me better and I hope to get to know you just as well!
