Getting Started with iPads
Reflection:
I have always had a tough time with technology because I always thought it was "too complicated." I've always understood the basics of apple technology because I grew up with a iPhone and now also have a Mac, but anything past the basics was just too complicated for me. I always mentally checked out when things got hard with technology and always resorted back to a "pen and paper" type method of getting things done. After reading the "iPad starter guide" I came to realize that it really is not that complicated at all you just have to know what you are looking for. This assignment made me realize how many tools there are for the iPad and how these tools will make things much easier for myself in the future as both a student and as a future teacher. I learned that you can set reminders (you would think I would know this after having an iPhone for 5 years), and that you can even map out a daily calendar that tells you when and where you need to be in order to stay more organized. I also found out many things that will make me a better teacher in the future. I learned that theres a thing called iBook where there are thousands of books at your disposal. As a future teacher I would like to utilize this took so that my students no longer have to lug around heavy textbooks. I am excited to continue refining my knowledge with iPads.
